Presented by the Friends of the St. Clement’s Island and Piney Point Museums, this major fundraiser brings essential funding to the museums for educational programs, projects, exhibits, matching grant funds, and more.
The stage is set on the lawn of the St. Clement’s Island Museum on the mainland of Colton’s Point, MD, overlooking the Potomac River and St. Clement’s Island, site of the first Maryland colonial landing in 1634. Three live and dynamic jazz groups will perform at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. Scheduled artists include: Trumpeter Joey Sommerville from Atlanta, GA; 480 East from Canada, and saxman Paul “Shilts” Weimer, former frontman for the group Down to the Bone. Food and beverages will be available by our vendors, no coolers allowed. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Ticket price includes admission to the museum, optional water taxi ride to visit St. Clement’s Island and the Blackistone Lighthouse, as well as access to three amazing jazz artists. (Wataer taxi service will be canceled in the event of inclement weather) Only 800 tickets are available for this intimate jazz experience and sells out every year.
