The City of Miami Gardens is proud to announce the first round of artists for the 10th Annual Jazz in the Gardens (JITG) music festival at Sun Life Stadium. The three-day weekend festival on March 20th to 22nd, 2015 will feature artists Maxwell, Toni Braxton, R. Kelly, Men of Soul’sJeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson and Freddie Jackson, and Brian Culbertson. Comedians and nationally syndicated radio personalities D.L. Hughley and Rickey Smiley will co-host the festival. More artists will be added soon!

Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster or http://www.jazzinthegardens.com. This event is predicted to break attendance records, surpassing last year’s 68,000 tickets sold, and promises a memorable kick off for springtime Miami. “This signature event was birthed from humble beginnings with just 1,800 people in attendance our first year,” said City of Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert. “I am proud to have watched this festival grow in number and esteem and reach this landmark of 10 years. With our top notch production team, the City of Miami Gardens promises this year’s experience is one for the books, you haven’t seen anything yet!”

On stage, Recording Artist and Multi-Award Winner, Culbertson remains an exuberant musician with 13 CDs to his credit. Well known for his intriguing blend of Jazz and R&B, Brian Culbertson showcases his diverse body of work which encompasses stellar musicianship and a unique balance of his broadly varied musical soundscape.

For nearly two decades, multitalented guitarist, composer and singer, Norman Brown has offered tasty sonic tidbits of Contemporary Jazz and Classic R&B and, his fans melt into satisfied aural bliss with every succulent, Jazz inflected note.

The Jazz 91.9 WCLK Fall Benefit Concert featuring Brian Culbertson will feature a melody of songs from Culbertson’s chart topping new album, Another Long Night Out along with a score of favorites from Brown and cuts from his long awaited new release, Sending My Love.

Ebony Maze Promotions presents Brian Culbertson on Friday, September 19th for the final concert in their Summer Smooth Jazz Series and Culbertson’s only tri-state show until 2015. A multi-instrumentalist by age 12, Culbertson grew up just south of Chicago, loving genre-crossing jazz-pop artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Chick Corea, and David Sanborn, and Sting.

In 1994, at age 20, Brian self-produced his debut album “Long Night Out.” Since then, Brian has released thirteen more albums, toured around the world, and worked with industry all-stars like Maurice White (Earth, Wind & Fire) , Larry Graham (Sly and the Family Stone, Graham Central Station), Ledisi, Barry Manilow, Herb Alpert, Natalie Cole, and Bootsy Collins to name a few. Brian’s latest album “Another Long Night Out” spent 5 weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Charts. In addition, the first single, “Fullerton Ave.” (feat. Chuck Loeb), was also #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Radio Chart for 8 weeks. Culbertson will be joined by his six piece band: Chris Miskel (drums), Eddie Miller (keys/vocals), Marqueal Jordan (sax/vocals), Michael Stever (trumpet/keys), Adam Hawley (guitar), and Rodney Jones, Jr. (bass).
