“The Jazz Festival has long been one of Jacksonville’s signature events,” said Mayor Alvin Brown. “It’s a growing tradition that gets bigger and better every year. This year promises to be the best ever. The Jazz Festival is just one more example why downtown Jacksonville is where people want to be.”

The new Jacksonville Jazz Festival event footprint will include stages along Bay Street, one near Marsh Street and the Shipyards, another near Newnan Street, and at the Jacksonville Landing.

The Jacksonville Jazz Festival takes place May 22 – 25, 2014. Performers announced to date are: Tizer featuring Karen Briggs, Marcus Johnson, and Joey DeFrancesco along with local acts the Joshua Bowlus Quartet, the Jacksonville Jazz Collective, the JB Scott Swingin’ Allstars and the Katz Downstairs. More performers will be announced over the next few weeks. Most of the events will be free.

Unity Concert

The Unity Concert is a How Big Is Your Dream?! fundraiser that promotes music awareness and education amongst our young artist. Expect to enjoy live performances from local College and High School bands, as well as your favorite local and National artist.

How Big is Your Dream?! salutes the artists that will be gracing the stage this year along with JFly and The Flytrap, National Artist such as Marcus Johnson, Joey Sommerville, Chandra Currelley, Julie Dexter, Rahbi, Mark Adams, Regina Troupe and many more.
