The nomination process for the 7th annual Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards is set to begin online on November 1. “We want the fans to pick all the nominees this year,” says awards chair John Beaudin. “Also this year we will have the winners announced on March 1, 2011 via a special program on “We are mixing up the categories as well to add a more international flavor to the awards,” says Beaudin, “So expect more than just what’s happening in Canada.”

To register to vote join the mailing list at Each person will receive one nomination ballot via email as well as a final voting ballot once all the nominees are set on December 1, 2010.

Online voting will also include a Lifetime Achievement Award ballot where fans can pick their own legend to receive the honor. For more info go to
