The Sax Pack is a class act consisting of three signature sax players; Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole and Kim Waters. Backed by a tight rhythm section, the talented trio combine their life-long love of music and their passion for performance, to make an impact on audiences that love music as much as they do.

Committed to sharing the excitement, spontaneity and creative energy that flows between them on stage, The Sax Pack inspires an audience far beyond the duration of a show. The well-known saxophonists are excited to create a show that combines their individual styles and diverse backgrounds for a fresh approach to the music that inspired them all to become musicians; jazz. Highlights of the tour will feature original music written specifically for The Sax Pack , as well as each sax player’s signature hits and the classic funk, R&B and jazz tunes that will get fans out of their seats.

The Bishop Arts Theater Center (BATC) is building a legacy as an important link in Dallas’ cultural history. It is a charming building near the Bishop Arts District that offers comfortable seating for theatergoers with the privacy of balcony suites, truly an intimate theater experience.

There are no more than nine rows from the stage at our theater so the intimacy and immediacy of the performances is stunning. Add to that the fact that the artists love playing here and enjoy spending time with the fans after each performance to connect on a human and personal level.

Headliner Dave Koz

In a career that spans twenty years and a dozen albums, saxophonist Dave Koz has established himself as one of the most prominent figures in contemporary music. Koz’s 2011 Hello Tomorrow Tour pushes the reset button for an artist who’s been in the game for two decades, and positions him for the next chapter in a story that’s already multi-dimensional and compelling.

Starting off the evening will be British Smooth jazz guitarist Chris Standring.

Over the course of six CDs, Standring has distinguished himself in the contemporary jazz realm with adventurous and lyrical compositions leavened with pure-pop perfection, dazzling guitar solos and thick beats. His latest CD “Blue Bolero” was selected as JazzTrax 2010 Album of the Year.

Tickets are just $68 per person for a Jazz Cat Reserved Seat.

Hanson House Benefactor Tickets including a three course dinner and preferred seating are $217.50 per person.
