Patti LaBelle’s unmistakable style of soul meets the smooth rhythm and passion of Kenny G in “An Evening of Elegance” at Colonial Life Arena on Friday, April 29 at 8:00 p.m.
Both musicians are in the middle of respective tours covering most of the East coast, and will combine their talents for their first Colonial Life Arena appearance this spring. The show is hosted by The Steve Harvey Morning Show’s very own, Nephew Tommy.
Critics have said that Patti LaBelle is notorious for her “passionate stage performances and wide vocal range.” She is probably best known for her 1974 megahit, “Lady Marmalade,” and also received a Grammy for “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance” for her 1991 album, “Burnin.”
Kenny G’s jazz saxophone melodies have been reaching the ears of music lovers for decades. With more than 75 million albums sold worldwide, he is sure to deliver a great show every time. Kenny G won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition for his song, “Forever in Love” in 1994. Kenny G’s solo tour is inspired by the release of his 13th studio album in June 2010 which includes tracks with vocals from Robin Thicke and Babyface.
