All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Hanson House Foundation, the Coachella Valley’s first and only hospital hospitality house. Hanson House has sixteen guest rooms accomodating up to sixtyfour guests per night. Since opening in December of 2003, more than 5,000 families have been served with more than 15,000 guests nights. Hanson House has a totally volunteer staff operating 365 days per year.

The Palm Springs Smooth Jazz Festival is the 16th Annual fund raiser for the Hanson House Foundation.
Headliner Dave Koz

In a career that spans twenty years and a dozen albums, saxophonist Dave Koz has established himself as one of the most prominent figures in contemporary music. Koz’s 2011 Hello Tomorrow Tour pushes the reset button for an artist who’s been in the game for two decades, and positions him for the next chapter in a story that’s already multi-dimensional and compelling.

Starting off the evening will be British Smooth jazz guitarist Chris Standring.

Over the course of six CDs, Standring has distinguished himself in the contemporary jazz realm with adventurous and lyrical compositions leavened with pure-pop perfection, dazzling guitar solos and thick beats. His latest CD “Blue Bolero” was selected as JazzTrax 2010 Album of the Year.

Tickets are just $68 per person for a Jazz Cat Reserved Seat.

Hanson House Benefactor Tickets including a three course dinner and preferred seating are $217.50 per person.
