One of the most popular saxophonists of all time, Grover Washington, Jr. was long the pacesetter in his field. His roots were in R&B and soul-jazz organ combos, but he also fared very well on the infrequent occasions when he played straight-ahead jazz. Considered by fans and critics alike as “the heir to Grover Washington Jr.’s throne,” saxophonist Walter Beasley has artfully and dynamically redefined the phrase “musical Renaissance Man” for the modern generation.

A Tribute to Grover Washington Jr. presented by Jason Miles with Walter Beasley, Gerald Veasley and more!
