Atlanta-based saxophonist Dee Lucas and Denver-based saxophonist Tony Exum, Jr. have both teamed up to present the “Just for Art and George” Tour, a musical tribute to Art Porter and George Howard. These are two rising contemporary artists paying homage to two late contemporary legends.

National recording artist and contemporary jazz soprano saxophonist Dee Lucas has just released his third CD titled Standing Room Only which he continues to take smooth jazz in a different direction with his unique melodic stylings. This Atlanta-based saxophonist has been consistently expanding his fan base since the release of his well-received 2004 debut solo CD Remembrance which was a tribute to the late legendary saxophonist George Howard and his sophomore sensation Something To Ride 2. Dee Lucas further develops his own distinctive style by bringing more of a aggressive sound to the soprano sax on top of his smooth compositions that is more than just pleasing to the ear.

If you’re into the smooth jazz or funk jazz genre, the name Tony Exum may be on your radar by now, but if not, allow me to put it there. Exum has just released a new album titled Finally which is available for download by track or in its entirety at
