29th Annual Jazz’S Alive

Whether you’re a seasoned jazz aficionado, or someone who just wants to witness a solid jazz performance, Jazz’SAlive is the place to be in September.  The San Antonio Parks Foundation & The City of San Antonio present Jazz’SAlive at Travis Park, Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23, 2012, from noon to 11 p.m, and noon to 10 p.m.

Jazz’SAlive is a FREE two-day festival featuring national, regional and local musicians. The event features national recording Jazz artists, as well as regional and local Jazz favorites. Children’s activities will be featured both days from noon to 6 p.m.

The Starlight Salute to Jazz’SAlive Gala, featuring dinner, dancing and auction, will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 at the St. Anthony Hotel, 300 E. Travis. Jazz’SAlive is a Fall Arts Festival event.

Don’t forget the exciting Jazz’SAlive After Dark Jam Sessions Friday and Saturday nights at the St. Anthony Hotel’s Peacock Alley till 2 a.m. Sponsored by Rio San Antonio Cruises, this event is your chance to catch an up close and personal glimpse of national and regional Jazz musicians jamming alongside our favorite local bands. The event is free, and follows the last performance on the main stage.

This 2-day festival features a variety of jazz performers. Among them are Tizer with Chieli Minuci and Karen Briggs.
