The Sixth Annual Duck Jazz Festival is on Sunday, October 7, 2012. The event will be held at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road, Duck, North Carolina. This free, all-day event is open to the public and will begin at 11:00 a.m., with gates set to open at 10:00 a.m. Picnics, beverages, chairs, or blankets are encouraged. No beach umbrellas or tents are permitted at the event. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from various Town eateries and chairs to rent.

The Duck Jazz Festival is a cultural event which brings in nearly 7,000 people to Duck over Columbus Day weekend. Each year, the Town brings national, regional, and local jazz artists to Duck for this premier jazz event. Many pre-festival events take place leading up to the day of the Jazz Festival. These activities include Festival performers conducting a master jazz class for local high school students, as well as appearing and performing at local Duck venues.

12:15 p.m. The Fuzz Band

2:15 p.m. Paula Atherton

4:15 p.m. The Rippingtons featuring Russ Freeman
