The Jazz & Rib Fest is a highly anticipated summertime tradition offering both jazz and rib connoisseurs the finest in music and barbeque for more than thirty years. Building off the success of our move to the premier entertainment destination of downtown Columbus, we are thrilled to once again call The Arena District the home of hot ribs and cool jazz. McFerson Commons and North Bank Park stages will anchor the event with performances featuring the best regional and international jazz artists. The Jazz Café at North Bank Pavilion will showcase local artists on an intimate riverfront stage set against the city skyline. Award winning rib-burners representing 10 states and Canada will fire up their grills along Spring & Long Streets to compete for “Best Ribs” bragging rights.

The 3-day Jazz & Rib Fest features jazz of all genres including Brian Culbertson and the Soul Rebels.

The Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society announced today they have rescheduled their annual festival that was interrupted by inclement weather last fall. Moody Gardens at Galveston Island will be the host venue for the 2014 Red Cat Jazz Festival, May 2nd – 4th.

The Red Cat Jazz festival makes its highly anticipated comeback to the island bigger than ever. “Our previous plan was to pay homage to Houston jazz legend Ronnie Laws, whose 50-year career has taken him around the world and back home to Texas. Laws will once again join the line-up consisting of the Tom Browne, Marion Meadows, Jazz in Pink, Miki Howard. “This will be the most spectacular show that we have done to date, Frankie Beverly and Maze will headline this year’s event,” said festival organizer Sam Pink, founder of the Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society and owner of the Red Cat Jazz Cafe at 711 Franklin St. in downtown Houston.
