Julian Vaughn (Headliner): 6’7″ lead bass player from Kansas City, Julian Vaughn laid down a strong statement with his self-released debut entitled The Purpose Project in 2010, one that garnered the attention of radio and in turn the attention of record companies clamoring to sink their claws into his dynamic young talent. Trippin N Rhythm Records one of the genres most active and aggressive labels knew a star when they saw one and jumped at the chance to add Vaughn to its ever growing roster of fresh and inventive young artists. Breakthrough marked his label debut and has already made waves across the country with a two week debut on the national Billboard chart at #24 and eventually reaching and staying at #1 for three consecutive weeks on the Billboard charts with his first hit single On Your Feet.
Joey “Papa J” Sommerville: Joeys unique style of new millennium jazz with funk, gospel and bop influences, is delivered with infectious pop sensibilities. Its this, coupled with his humor, warmth and showmanship, that drives the crowd crazy, creating a huge almost cult-like following of fans. And rightly so. His latest album, the ironically titled Overnight Sensation has received excellent reviews including a ringing endorsement from USA Today. The album continues to ride the top of the jazz radio charts. It features Joey along with notable guests, Jeff Lorber, Jeff Bradshaw, Elan Trotman and jazz guitar icon, Earl Klugh. In 2015, Joey continues his full touring schedule including appearances at The Blue Note NYC, The Berks Jazz Festival, The Keystone Jazz Festival and numerous other venues throughout the U.S. and abroad. For the third year in a row, he will be performing at and hosting Joey Sommervilles The Get Down Club on The Capital Jazz SuperCruise.
Megan McNeal: Graceful, sultry, and blessed with infinite talent, Meagan McNeal is the future of neo-soul and R&B. Launching her solo career in 2008, Meagan McNeal has earned the opportunity to work with some of R and B/ Souls most respected artists. Shes opened for the likes of Avery Sunshine, Dwele, Jon B, Sunshine Anderson and shared the stage with The Velvelettes of the legendary Motown Records. She has done background vocals for the likes of Eminem to the OJays. Meagan has sang in venues across the country. While living in California she worked as an intern for Hidden Beach Recordings, a label that has brought forth great artists like Jill Scott, Al B Sure, and Kindred.
