The Sausalito Art Festival is proud to present its first official “AfterParty” featuring Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns Tour.

Dave Koz has assembled a powerhouse line up of Brass Instrumentation for the Summer Tour Season of 2018, with Special Guests: Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Richard Elliot and Introducing Aubrey Logan. Following the highly successful Summer Horns Tours of 2013 and 2014, this year’s tour will have the same high level energy delivering hits, including songs from the upcoming new album, Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns II: From A to Z. The first Summer Horns release debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.

Hailed by The New York Times as “a musician of unflappable rhythmic aplomb, which he happily squares against the airtight funk of his band,” Koz will be joined by Gerald Albright, known for his acclaimed solo recordings and performances with Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, and The Temptations; Rick Braun, chart-topping trumpeter, who has collaborated across genre’s with Rod Stewart, Sade, and REO Speedwagon; Richard Elliot, a former member of Tower of Power who has since forged a successful solo career; And as part of the stellar musicians on stage, Koz is excited to introduce Aubrey Logan known for jammin’ on her trombone or sailing through a song with her nothing-held-back, multi-octave vocal instrument. Aubrey captivates audiences and delivers originality to everything modern in music; And finally, guitarist Adam Hawley, named both Smooth Jazz News’ and JazzTrax’ Debut Artist of the Year.

Playing new songs from the forthcoming Summer Horns release, as well as songs from their individual catalogs, this live show is sure to be one of the hottest shows this Summer. One not to be missed.

Jeffrey Osborne, Earl Klugh, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Rick Braun and Everette Harp are set to play the first annual Firebird Music Festival in Scottsdale, Ariz. Sept. 23 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Grammy-nominated saxophonist Harp is managing partner in JEMrock Productions, the company putting on the event, which he says is the first of many. “We are looking forward to bringing our brand of exciting music festivals to cities across the country,” he said.

There was an established jazz festival [in Scottsdale] a few years back that drew very large crowds. We’re hoping to bring that back to the Phoenix area in a very big way. This is part of JEMrock’s long range plan here in Scottsdale. Also on the bill are Bob James, and Harp’s bandmates in Jazz Funk Soul, Jeff Lorber and Paul Jackson Jr.

Rick Braun’s New Years Eve 2018 features Rick Braun, Boney James, Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole, Jackiem Joyner, Selina Albright, Peter White.

What is it like? On New Year’s Eve, step into our Rat Pack themed event that starts with a reception, entertainment, and appetizers. Next you will enter the dining ballroom for the music of the multi-talented saxophone trio, The Sax Pack, starring Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole, and Jackiem Joyner, savor a delicious gourmet meal, warm up your dancing shoes, and enjoy the company of your table mates – both old and new friends!

Then we really get the party going as we are joined by the headliners. Rick Braun, our host and trumpeter extraordinaire, brings world class musicians with him each year, and this year is no exception, as he is joined by saxophonist Boney James, and the vocal pipes of Selina Albright, who will all bring the house down to ring in the New Year!

This event has sold out the last three years and we expect it to sell out again this year with this incredible lineup.

As if that isn’t enough, be there on December 30th to join Rick in a golf tournament for fun and fundraising. And then that evening join us for Start the Party Early, featuring the one and only guitarist and composer, Peter White, in a casual concert to get us in party spirits! This event sells out every year, so don’t delay. Links to purchase tickets to Start the Party Early PLUS a great hotel rate only our attendees can get, will be available in your ticket confirmation when you buy tickets for the main show.
