Houston, Docfest (docfestjazz.org) is proud to present legendary saxophonist, Gerald Albright for the annual Bonus Benefit Concert,

Saturday., September 22, 2018 – 7:30 pm

Denney Theater, 4001 Stanford St., Houston, TX 77006

  • The event is a seven day European river cruise between Lyon and Arles, France leaving on Thursday, August 62020 on AmaWaterways ship AmaCello (CLICK HERE to see this ship layout).
  • Rick, Peter White, Kirk Whalum and Marc Antoine will be on board the whole week for entertainment in the lounge each evening…and to hang with during the day and at meals.  This is an up-close experience you cannot have anywhere else!
  • We have chosen this itinerary to merge music, wine, food, and the beauty of France!
  • The trip will include OPTIONAL pre and post trips that you can add to the cruise, but for now we are focused on the cruise.  The optional land add ons will be developed by our travel agent and of course one of them is Paris!  More on that to come after the cruise is confirmed.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

  • It is VERY different from an ocean cruise and any concert you have been to before.   The key words are intimate and unplugged.  From who you cruise with, to the great music you will hear, to just hanging with the band and like-minded people while exploring the beauty of Europe as up close as you can get.
  • This ship only has 74 cabins and it is smaller than our previous cruises because the Rhone has different nautical requirements, so the cabins are laid out differently.  So even less cruisers and MORE headliners!
  • Please note, because of the size of the ship, there are no outside balconies, only French style balconies for most of the cabins and some with upper windows
