This October will herald the “re-jazzination” of a very special Arizona tradition. After taking a year off in 2009, the Sedona Jazz on the Rocks Fall Festival will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 on the lush grounds of Poco Diablo Resort. To make the internationally acclaimed fall festival even more relevant and electrifying, SJOR is adding an exciting twist this year, by expanding the musical line up to include blues and R&B.

Sedona Jazz On The Rocks presents this year:

Maysa – This Jazz/R&B singer-songwriter’s powerful vocals are known worldwide. She first rose to fame as the featured vocalist for Incognito.

Alfredo Rodiguez is an internationally renowned, high profile pianist who captures the energy, essence and exuberance of Jazz.

Homemade Jamz  Blues Band – These amazing kids are powerhouse, awarding-winning Blues performers, with a sound that is mature and fully realized!

Dennis Rowland is a Grammy winning vocalist and recording artist, who delivers dynamic performances whether the genre is Jazz, Blues or Motown.

Craig Chaquico left a rich legacy as lead guitarist for Jefferson Starship, and is now a Grammy nominated artist at the forefront of the smooth jazz market.

After a brief hiatus in 2009, the 28-year festival, Sedona Jazz on the Rocks (SJOR) is back with a renewed sense of purpose, vigor and resolve.  Their goal is to become the premier jazz festival—not only in the Southwest—but the nation.

At that time, tickets can be purchased from or by telephone at (928) 282-1985. “Our goal is to provide a diverse music program that is spirited enough to thrill music lovers, jazz enthusiasts and those new to the genre.” states Bettye Wilson, SJOR president. “We strongly believe in preserving the wonders of jazz music for future generations, and as a small non-profit organization, we rely on the proceeds from this festival to fund music education programs we provide to Arizona youth state-wide.”
