Christian “Big New York” de Mesones is a larger than life showman and bassist, best known for fronting Groove Skool Band. He now sells out shows as a headliner, having organized “Big New York & the Smooth Jazz All-Stars”, a uniquely collaborative effort highlighting the hottest smooth jazz artists in the DMV.

The line-up for this event consists of multiple Billboard-charting artists with current airplay on the XM Sirius smooth jazz channel Watercolors, as well as an Oasis and American Smooth Jazz New Artist of the Year Award nominee. All have performed with Big New York, as part of the Smooth Jazz All-Stars, or with local favorite Groove Skool Band. The instrumentation for the Christmas show is designed to engage and entice, provide dynamics, and allow for a truly unique musical experience. The All-Stars for this event are Willie Bradley on Trumpet, Drew Davidsen on Guitar, Elliot Levine on keyboards, the triple-sax attack of Rob Maletick, Eddie Baccus, Jr., and Keith Anderson; Jay Jones on drums, and Curtis McCain on percussion. Each of these talented artists will charm and fascinate the audience with musical abilities that are beyond compare.
