Experience all Downtown Jacksonville has to offer as it comes alive with the sounds of jazz greats and modern favorites at the 2019 Jacksonville Jazz Festival on Memorial Day weekend. Join the City of Jacksonville May 23 – 26 and experience two stages of live jazz, local food, drinks, shopping and entertainment. Since first taking place in 1981, the Jazz Fest has become one of the largest jazz festivals in the country, offering a fun and vibrant street festival atmosphere, and in 2019 you can experience it throughout 10 blocks of downtown – all for free!

Founding member of Tower Of Power, legendary for his arrangements that made the TOP horn section a sought out entity all its own. With countless collaborations in the studio and live on stage, Adams has made his mark on a broad stretch of today’s music landscape that includes jazz, pop, rock, R&B, soul, and funk. His 1995 debut Hidden Agenda went all the way to #1 on Billboard and stayed there for five weeks… He hasn’t looked back since. Grammy and Emmy nominated trumpeter Adams is now the driving force behind East Bay Soul. The expansive ensemble is a blend of Funk Jazz, R&B, and Soul. The Pacific Jazz Institute at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley welcomes the horn driven funky R&B of trumpeter Greg Adams and his band East Bay Soul. Band members include, Greg Adams (trumpet, flugelhorn, vocals), Nick Milo (keys), Darryl Walker (lead vocals, tenor sax), Lee Thornburg (trumpet, fugelhorn, vocals), Johnnie Bamont (sax, flute, vocals), Greg Vail (sax, flute, vocals), Nick Milo (keys, vocals), Kay-Ta Matsuno (guitar), Dwayne “Smitty” Smith (bass), Herman Mathews (drums, vocals) and Johnny Sandoval (latin percussion, vocals).

Show times Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm. Doors open at 6pm each night.
