The Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society announced today they have rescheduled their annual festival that was interrupted by inclement weather last fall. Moody Gardens at Galveston Island will be the host venue for the 2014 Red Cat Jazz Festival, May 2nd – 4th.

The Red Cat Jazz festival makes its highly anticipated comeback to the island bigger than ever. “Our previous plan was to pay homage to Houston jazz legend Ronnie Laws, whose 50-year career has taken him around the world and back home to Texas. Laws will once again join the line-up consisting of the Tom Browne, Marion Meadows, Jazz in Pink, Miki Howard. “This will be the most spectacular show that we have done to date, Frankie Beverly and Maze will headline this year’s event,” said festival organizer Sam Pink, founder of the Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society and owner of the Red Cat Jazz Cafe at 711 Franklin St. in downtown Houston.

The Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre is metro-Atlanta’s only mid-size, outdoor concert venue with covered, reserved seats! Located in south Cobb County, the publicly-owned facility has the capacity to host 2,400 people for everything from country to rock concerts and from plays to symphony orchestra performances.

The Get Down Club will cook the house with three delicate events. The Hot Fun Kick Off Show starts Saturday June 19th with Peter White, Joey Summerville, Gerald Albright and Daniel Moore.

Next is the Living Legend Show featuring Phil Perry, Ronnie Laws, and Jeff Lorber on Saturday July 31st. Last but not least followed by The Rhythm and Romance Show presenting Nick Colionne,  Sheila E and Marion Meadows on Sunday September 4th. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster outlets.
